Arrest made in human trafficking investigation

One man was arrested in a human trafficking investigation Wednesday, and Durham Police investigators want to ensure there are no further victims.

On March 10, members of the DRPS Human Trafficking Unit arrested the suspect in Ajax as part of an ongoing human trafficking investigation.

Di’On Wong, age 25 of Mullen Drive in Ajax is charged with: Trafficking in Persons by Exercising Control; Material Benefit from Sexual Services; Obtaining Sexual Services for Consideration; Advertising Another Person’s Sexual Services; Financial Benefit Trafficking Person Over 18 Years of Age and Fail to Comply.

He was held for a bail hearing.
