Oshawa teen stabbed in Scugog, is safe

An 18-year-old male was sent to hospital after being stabbed during a dispute in the Township of Scugog on Tuesday evening.

On June 18, 2019, at approximately 7:40 p.m., members of North Division responded to the area of Water Street and Scugog Street for a male that was stabbed by another teen. There was a verbal altercation between the males which resulted in the 18-year-old Oshawa teen being stabbed.

The teen was taken to a local hospital and later transferred to a trauma center with serious but non-life threatening injuries. The suspect was arrested shortly after at a near-by residence.

James Robinson, age 18, of Greensboro Drive in Scugog is charged with:

  • Aggravated assault
  • Assault with a weapon and possession of weapons dangerous.

He has been held for a bail hearing.
