Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) yesterday reported a threat to a school in the City of Pickering which led to a lockdown situation.
“Today, at approximately 11:40 am, officers responded to William Dunbar Public School in Pickering after they received a threat via telephone,” said a police alert.
The police did not detail the threat.
“The school was placed on a hold and secure while the threat was investigated. The school was cleared and the hold and secure was lifted at approximately 2:20 pm,” police said.
DRPS added that this is an ongoing investigation and is requesting anyone with information to call 1-888-579-1520 ext. 2526.
