A 19-year-old man was arrested for firearm-related offences after reports of shots fired in south Pickering.
On February 6 at about 4:20 pm, members of West Division responded to the area of Krosno Boulevard for shots fired. The suspect was arrested after a short foot pursuit and police seized cannabis, Fentanyl, Canadian currency, a loaded handgun and an over-capacity magazine.
There were no reports of any gun-related injuries.
A 19-year0-old, of Falby Court faces numerous charges including: Possession of a Loaded Restricted Firearm; Careless Use/Storage of Firearm; Weapon Dangerous to the Public Peace; Carry Concealed Weapon; Possession Restricted/Prohibited Firearm; Possession of Prohibited Device; Possession of Proceeds of Crime and Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (fentanyl). He was held for a bail hearing.
