21-year old woman seriously hurt in crash

A 21-year-old female has serious injuries following a two-vehicle collision in Uxbridge on Wednesday.

On July 14 at approximately 12:20 am, members from North Division were called to a collision at Sanford Road and Regional Road 1. A black Honda was eastbound on Sandford Road when the driver failed to stop for the stop sign at Regional Road 1. A black Nissan was travelling northbound on Regional Road 1 and struck the passenger side of the Honda, police said.

The passenger of the Honda, a 21-year-old female, was taken to a trauma centre in Toronto with serious injuries but is in stable condition.

The driver of the Honda, a 21-year-old male, is facing charges for Careless Driving under the Highway Traffic Act.
