8cm snow: Your commute may be affected

Environment Canada has issued a winter weather advisory for Durham for the first half of today.

A band of snow will move through Southern Ontario…with total amounts of 4 to 8 cm expected by early Tuesday morning, it said.

Poor winter driving conditions from accumulating snow and low visibility in briefly heavier snow are likely into early Tuesday morning. The first half of the morning commute may be affected. Motorists should allow extra time to reach their destination, it pointed out.

Snow will change over to rain or drizzle Tuesday morning as a warm front moves through and temperatures rise above the zero degree mark, it added.
