Durham police investigators are once again appealing for any information that might help identify a newborn baby whose body washed up on a Pickering beach two weeks ago.
The male newborn’s body was found on the shoreline of Lake Ontario in Pickering on August 6, by a citizen walking by. The post mortem examination yielded little information and investigators have few leads.
Police are urging any witnesses who may have information to assist investigators to come forward. If anyone knows the identity of the baby or the mother of the baby, they are asked to contact Det. Alves of the Major Crimes – Homicide Unit at 1-888-579-1520. ext. 5407.
