Woman driving too fast under influence with child in car

Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) last week stopped a driver on Simcoe Street near Snow Ridge Court in Oshawa.

A traffic officer had clocked the the vehicle doing 135 kmh in a 80 kmh zone on August 5 at past 9 pm.

A roadside sobriety test was administered which confirmed that the female driver was under the influence of alcohol and she was subsequently arrested.

A child was found rising in the backseat.

The vehicle was impounded for 14 days, and her licence suspended for seven days (for the stunt) and 90 days (exceed). She is now facing charges of exceed, stunt driving and speeding.
