Durham Recruiting is 15th fastest growing in Canada

Oshawa: Canadian Business and Maclean’s magazine ranked Durham Recruiting as No. 15 on the 2019 Startup 50 ranking of Canada’s Top New Growth Companies and #1 within the HR Industry.

Startup 50 winners will be profiled in a special print issue of Canadian Business published with Maclean’s magazine and online at CanadianBusiness.com.

To mark this achievement, Durham Recruiting will host a celebration on Friday, September 20 at 12 noon at Core 21, 21 Simcoe Street South, in Oshawa.

Durham Recruiting has been a business in Oshawa since 2017 and has grown significantly since then, becoming a vital part of the downtown core. Durham Recruiting matches people (many of them commuters) with local businesses focusing on the ‘right’ fit for both parties. The Downtown Oshawa BIA is thrilled to see downtown businesses thrive and prosper. Durham Recruiting has shown how successful start-ups can be in our core.

“The 2019 Startup 50 winners suggest the future of Canadian entrepreneurship is extremely bright. They have brought new offerings to market, created indelible brands and disrupted established business models—all in an extremely short period of time,” says Beth Fraser, Startup 50 and Growth 500 program manager. “Any aspiring entrepreneur should look to their stories for inspiration.”

Another Award

Durham Recruiting has also won ClearlyRated’s 2019 Best of Staffing Client and Talent Awards. This award is earned by less than 2% of all staffing agencies in the U.S. and Canada. ClearlyRated’s Best of Staffing winners have proven to be industry leaders in service quality based entirely on ratings by their clients and the candidates they’ve helped find jobs. To earn this prestigious award, Durham Recruiting received an extremely rare perfect NPS (Net Promoter Score) of 100% for clients (vs. 73% average of top 2% Staffing Companies) and an NPS of 90% (vs. 67% average of top 2% Staffing Companies).

“We are very honoured and humbled to have earned both esteemed awards,” says Dustin Kellow, co-owner of Durham Recruiting.

“Downtown Oshawa is thrilled for our member, Durham Recruiting – their investment in the downtown showcases Oshawa’s national presence, and we couldn’t be happier for their success,” said Amanda MacDonald, Executive Director, Downtown Oshawa BIA.
