Shooting victim out of life threatening situation

Durham police yesterday said the condition of the victim of December 21 shooting in Oshawa has been upgraded to stable.

Police are searching for a suspect after a male was located suffering from a gunshot wound on Sunday, December 21 at about 6:05 am. A male was located on the sidewalk in the area of Simcoe Street North and Bond Street East, suffering from a gunshot wound before being transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre in life-threatening condition.

The victim’s condition has since been upgraded to stable.

Investigators are requesting that any businesses in the area review their surveillance video systems for any possible footage of the incident. This investigation will be ongoing as investigators continue to canvas the area and speak with witnesses.
