Durham police are searching for five suspects after a male and female were robbed at gun point in Oshawa.
On Thursday, January 8, around 2:05 am, members of Central East Division responded to a robbery call that occurred at Lakeview Park in the area of Lakeview Park Avenue and Simcoe Street South.
A male and female were near their vehicle when a dark coloured sedan parked behind them and five males approached. Two of the suspects pointed handguns at the victims, while a third held a knife. The suspects assaulted the male victim and took his phone, jewelry, shoes, and cash. The suspects also stole the female victim’s phone before fleeing the area, police said.
The male victim suffered minor injuries. The female victim did not sustain any physical injuries.
The five suspects are described as: male, Black, approximately 19-25 years-old. Three suspects were wearing dark face masks.
The suspect vehicle is described as a dark coloured sedan.
