Residents can also subscribe to this page and receive daily emails with the latest information, said a municipal statement.
“The municipality is committed to the health and safety of our residents and staff during this Covid-19 pandemic. Follow Clarington on our social media sites, Twitter @ClaringtonON and Facebook @MunofClarington, stay connected and informed,” it added.
“As you’re inundated with news, I would encourage residents to get their information from reliable and trusted sources. The municipality is sharing information from public health and other levels of government to keep our residents informed.”
Update for Wednesday, March 18, 2020, 4 pm.
All of Clarington’s municipal buildings and facilities are closed to the public, but many of the services we offer to our residents are still available. View a full list of services available.
Building permits will continue to be reviewed and processed. Applications can be submitted by regular mail, courier or by email to BuildingPermits@clarington.net. Information on what is required to be submitted with your building permit application can be found on the Building Permit web page.
Clarington Building Officials will not be conducting inspections on projects that contain an occupied dwelling (e.g. finished basement, additions, etc.). When necessary, we will be making special arrangements using video, photos and other means. This is a temporary measure that will be in place until further notice and will be continually monitored as the COVID-19 situation evolves. The Municipality will continue to offer inspections for all other permits.
