The Works Department of the Regional Municipality of Durham, announced lane restrictions on Taunton Road (Regional Road 4) in the Town of Whitby.
- When: February 5 and 6.
- Where: The westbound right turning lane into the plaza located just west of the Taunton Road and Brock Street intersection in Whitby.
- Why: To replace a hydrant and valve in the roadway.
Ajax road closure
The Regional Municipality of Durham is constructing a new watermain on Rossland Road West, from east of Church Street to Westney Road North, in the Town of Ajax.
- When: February 10 to 14.
- Where: Ravenscroft Road, north of Rossland Road, in the Town of Ajax.
- Why: To safely install a new watermain.
Traffic will be diverted via signed detour route. Project information is also available on the Region’s website durham.ca/WorksProjects.
Rossland Road West will be reduced to one lane in the vicinity of Ravenscroft Road with pay-duty police controlling the intersection during construction working hours.
Businesses will remain open for the duration of construction.
