20-year old breaks into a home in Pickering

A 20-year-old male has been arrested after breaking into a home in Pickering.

On Saturday, June 29, at about 11:45 pm, officers from West Division were dispatched to the area of Sheppard Avenue and Fairport Road for reports of a suspicious person. A male was found hiding in the backyard of a residence.

After further investigation, it was determined that the male had broken into a home and stolen a number of items from within. He was placed under arrest without incident.

Mitchell Wilson, age 20 of NFA, is charged with:

  • Break and Enter,
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and
  • Fail to Comply with Probation.

He has been held for a bail hearing.

Man arrested for street-level robbery

In another incident, a 23-year-old male has been arrested after an armed street-level robbery.

On Sunday, June 30, at 8:20 pm, officers from West Division were called to an armed robbery that had occurred in the parking lot at Westney Road South and Harwood Avenue South in Ajax. A female was approached by a male armed with a knife who demanded cash. The victim did not comply and the male ran off.

On Monday, July 1, 2019, the male was spotted in the same parking lot. He was arrested without incident.

Shuandre Kerr-Davis of Frazer Road in Ajax, is charged with Robbery. He was released on a Promise to Appear.
