Armed masked men rob four teens in a forest

Durham police investigators are asking the public to help identify two suspects in an armed street-level robbery which occurred Friday night in Brooklin.

On June 5  at about 11:30 pm, members of Central West Division were called to the area of Carnwith Drive West and Leithridge Crescent in Brooklin following a street-level robbery. Four teens were walking through a nearby forest when they were approached by two masked males, one armed with a gun and the other a knife. The suspects made a demand for cash and cell phones. They fled on foot with the victim’s property, said a police media release.

The victims didn’t receive any physical injuries. Officers searched the area, with negative results, it added.

Suspect #1 is described as a male, white, 18 years old, 6’2″ to 6’3″ tall. He wore a grey roots track suit, a medical mask and a hooded sweater. He was armed with a knife.

Suspect #2 is described as a male, white, 18 years old, 6’2″ to 6’3″ tall. He wore a black track suit with a red bandana. He was armed with a gun.
