The Town of Whitby has issued a residents and local businesses advisory of the upcoming road closure that will be in place during the ‘Open Streets’ event being held coming Saturday, September 28.
Brock Street will be closed from 7 am to 4:30 pm to ensure activities are provided in a safe manner within and around the event area.
Road Closures include:
- Brock Street North: Mary Street to Dunlop Street
- Brock Street South: Dundas Street to Gilbert Street
- Colborne Street East: Brock Street to Green Street
- Colborne Street West: Brock Street to Byron Street
- Gilbert Street Remains Open – Access to Plaza
- Brock Street South: Gilbert Street to Burns Street
Information signs will be posted in advance of the event to advise motorists of the upcoming road closure. Temporary traffic and detour signs will be installed on site to direct motorists during the road closure.
During the event, access for emergency vehicles will be maintained.
