West Delhi Police said on November 18 that a fake international call centre was busted and 32 persons had been arrested.

“West District Police during a raid in area of Moti Nagar have arrested 32 persons of [a] call center on charges of threatening and extorting money from people in Canada,” it said.

They estimated that Canadians had been cheated out of about Rs 300 crores (app. C$55.45 million)
