The Town of Whitby is inviting residents to participate in an upcoming virtual Community Open House being held on connectwhitby.ca between October 13 and October 27.
Its purpose: to gather community feedback on the proposed design for a new district park to be built in West Whitby at the northeast corner of Des Newman Boulevard and Whitefish Street.
Features included in the proposed park design include:
- a lighted combination rugby/soccer field;
- pickleball courts;
- a multi-skills court;
- a playground;
- a splash pad;
- a walking trail; and,
- native plantings to support pollinator species.
