Driver zips along at 42kmh over limit… but not for long

DRPS Traffic Services yesterday clocked a driver doing 124kmh on a 80kmh road in Scugog.

Northbound on Highway 7/12 for 42kmh over the posted 80kmh speed limit, said a tweet from Traffic Services.

“Let’s take care of each other and ensure we all arrive at our destination safe,” it added.

Meanwhile, the Bike Patrol from Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) – Central East Division, said they bumped into none other than the city mayor, while on their rounds.

“We spoke with Mayor Carter about community safety, police initiatives and development in the City of Oshawa,” they said.
