Drugs car calls attention by zipping through stop signs

Durham police said a male and female are facing several charges after fleeing from police in Oshawa.

On Monday, March 16, at around 2:10 am, members of Central East Division responded to a suspicious vehicle call in the area of Rosedale Avenue and Division Street. A red sedan was observed traveling at a high rate of speed through multiple stop signs without stopping.

Officers attempted a traffic stop, but the suspect vehicle failed to stop. A short time later, the vehicle was located abandoned. Officers searched the area and arrested the male and female suspects nearby without incident. A quantity of drugs was located inside the vehicle.

A woman, aged 29 of no fixed address, was held for a bail hearing.
