‘Promising’ Clarington man wanted for auto thefts

An arrest warrant has been issued for a 33-year-old Clarington man in connection with the thefts of vehicles.

Numerous attempts by police to locate him have failed.

On Wednesday, June 26, 2019, a warrant was issued for Christopher Graham for several thefts of motor vehicles in Oshawa and Kawartha Lakes since October 2018. The suspect is alleged to be responsible for four thefts and will face numerous charges relating to these incidents.

The suspect, in some cases, promised his victims that he would do some mechanical work on the motorcycles or cars and then never returned the vehicles.

He is known to frequent Durham Region, Kawartha Lakes and the Peterborough area. He may be operating a stolen 2008 Chevrolet Silverado.

Investigators do not believe there is a threat to community safety, but want Graham to contact a lawyer and turn himself in. It is an offence for any friend or acquaintance to aid and abet him while he is wanted by police.

Graham is wanted for 14 criminal charges, including:

  • Theft of Motor Vehicle x4;
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order;
  • Possession of Stolen Property Under $5,000 and
  • Fraud Under $5,000.
