Gucci Dognapping: Was it misunderstanding or theft?

Toronto Police would like to thank the public for their assistance in an investigation into the theft of a dog name Gucci.

On Thursday, July 25, Toronto Police had issued an appeal for the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a man and a woman believed to be involved in the theft of a dog.

Later on the same date, the investigator contacted the owner of the dog, who advised that the dog had since been returned and that it was a misunderstanding.

There are no outstanding suspects.

Police earlier reported that on Friday, July 12, a man and woman were observed out front of 60 Carlton Street. They both approached a four-month-old white and black husky puppy that was leashed and tied to a post while the owner of the puppy was inside the store shopping.

They allegedly untied the puppy and left the area with the dog.
