Help find aggravated assault suspect

Durham Police investigators are looking for public assistance in identifying a male suspect in an aggravated assault incident in Oshawa.

On December 5 at about 10 pm, members of Central East Division responded to a fight call at the Popeyes restaurant in the area of Simcoe Street North and Niagara Drive in Oshawa.

A male party suffered serious injuries and was taken to a trauma center in Toronto. Police searched the area with negative results. Investigators have surveillance photos of the suspect and are looking for the public’s assistance in identifying him.

The suspect is described as a male, black, 20-30 years old, approximately 185 pounds and had a full beard.

Home invasion/assault suspect arrested

Durham Police investigators have identified and arrested a second suspect in a home invasion from Tuesday night in Oshawa.

A 28-year-old from Oshawa, is charged with: Aggravated Assault; Assault with a Weapon and Break and Enter. He was held for a bail hearing.
