High-risk offender back in custody after unescorted release

The high-risk offender –who was released on an Unescorted Temporary Absence Permit – has now been returned to custody, said Durham police yesterday.

This individual, who has a history of serious criminal convictions including first degree murder, was released in Oshawa.

On March 2nd Durham police alerted the public and stated they would continue to monitor his whereabouts and activities.

The person in question is serving a life sentence for first degree murder, and is residing in Oshawa. Name and further details available at www.drps.ca.
