Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) yesterday said several elementary schools as well as G.L. Roberts Secondary School in Oshawa went into a ‘Hold and Secure’ on reports of an armed man in the area.
Officers from the DRPS Central East Division managed to find and apprehend the armed man at Cedar Street and Thomas Street and the Hold and Secure was lifted.
