An Oshawa man is facing impaired driving charges after speeding down a residential street, crashing into a fence and leading officers on a foot chase.

The driver then ran away from the scene and a foot pursuit ended shortly on Mary Street, where he was arrested. He was under court orders not to drive.
Matthew Pidgeon-Wallace, age 25 of Gibb Street in Oshawa, is charged with: Impaired Operation; Exceed .08; Breach of Probation x3; Fail to Remain; Drive While Under Suspension and Fail to Comply with Recognizance. He was held for a bail hearing.
