London, ON man held by DRPS for human trafficking

A 28-year-old male from London, Ontario, is facing human trafficking charges.

In May, the Human Trafficking Unit commenced an investigation after a victim came forward stating she was trafficked at a Mississauga hotel. The victim met the accused through a mutual friend and he began trafficking the victim for sexual services. Investigators were able to identify the accused and he was recently arrested.

Trekar Blake, age 28 of London, is charged with Trafficking in Persons by Exercising Control and Receiving Material Benefit. He was held for a bail hearing.

Investigators are releasing the photo of the suspect to ensure there are no other victims. A photo of Blake is attached or can be viewed at www.drps.ca under Newsroom.
