Durham Police, fire trucks and paramedics rushed yesterday to Highway 401 in Ajax after receiving reports that a man had fallen off the overpass.
Luckily, the man fell onto the shoulder of the highway and not into the traffic lanes.
Officers from DRPS West Division are at Harwood Ave South bridge over Highway 401 in Ajax after a male fell from the overpass onto the shoulder of the highway, said a police tweet yesterday.
The man was taken to a Toronto Trauma centre. The seriousness or extent of his injuries have not yet been revealed.
The incident is being investigated. The police had closed off the right lane of Highway 401 east-bound approaching Harwood in Ajax.
