Man found sleeping in car with crystal meth, gun

A New Brunswick man is facing charges after an officer located him sleeping in his vehicle on Thursday with a crack pipe, about 60 grams of crystal meth and a handgun.

On March 5 at about 11:30 pm, an East Division officer noticed a vehicle parked in a commercial parking lot near the intersection of Baseline Road West and Spicer Square in Bowmanville. The interior light was on and after taking a closer look, the officer discovered the vehicle was running and there was a man inside, asleep in the driver’s seat.

The officer turned off the vehicle and woke the male, also discovering a quantity of crystal methamphetamine and a handgun in the vehicle. The male was arrested and held for a bail hearing. The value of the drugs was about $7,500 and the handgun was not in working condition.

Guy Levesque, age 29, of New Brunswick has been charged with: Operation While Impaired – Drug and Possess Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking.
