Man surrenders legally-owned arms after threats arrest

Durham police yesterday said a male is facing charges after making threats toward co-workers at a business in Whitby.

On Monday, February 2, members of Central West Division were contacted after an employee made threatening comments toward other employees at the Durham Region Waste Management Facility located at 1640 Ritson Road North.

Investigators located the suspect at his residence and took him into custody without incident. The suspect’s legally owned firearms were voluntarily surrendered to DRPS.

The 34-year old man from Oshawa was held for a bail hearing. Name and further details available at www.drps.ca.
