Man who exposed himself in Ajax arrested

Durham Police investigators have charged a 22-year-old suspect after a sexual assault in Ajax last month.

On December 30 at 11:30 am, members of Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) West Division responded to the McLean Community Centre on Magill Drive for a sexual assault. The female victim was in the community center when she was approached by an unknown suspect. The suspect touched her inappropriately and when the victim attempted to walk away, the suspect exposed himself to her. The male left the premise while the victim went to notify police, said a media release.

Investigators looked into nearby video surveillance and were able to identify the suspect who was arrested on Monday, January 20.

Investigators want to ensure that there are no further victims.
