Two men are facing numerous charges after stealing a 1986 Camaro from Oshawa on Saturday.
On September 14, members of Central East Division attended the area of Quebec Street in Oshawa after a suspect stole a 1986 Chevrolet Camaro from a residence. The vehicle was spotted in the area of Holt Road in Bowmanville.
Officers saw the passenger exit the vehicle and attempt to flee on foot. The passenger (Biggart) was arrested. The driver sped off and failed to stop for police. Police discontinued pursuing the vehicle due to safety reasons. The suspect eventually abandoned the vehicle and hid under a porch near Drew Street in Oshawa. K-9 was able to located the suspect and he was taken into custody.
Colin Biggart, age 38 of Simcoe Street South in Oshawa is charged with: Occupant of a Motor Vehicle Without Consent and Possession of a Schedule I Substance (Cocaine). He was released on a Promise to Appear.
Max Folques, age 29 of Bloor Street in Clarington is charged with: Theft of Motor Vehicle Over $5,000; Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000; Dangerous Operation of a Conveyance; Flight from Police; Fail to Comply With Probation Order and Drive While Under Suspension. He was held for a bail hearing.
