Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) officers are not there only to protect and assist fellow resident homo sapiens, but they are also called upon to help other creatures of mother nature, in distress.
And that is exactly what they did on the hottest day of the year on Friday.
Officers @DRPSCWDiv helped this little guy yesterday on the hottest day of the year ! Police were called for an animal in distress and officers came to help! He was let out, given a shower to cool off, a granola bar and water to get back up and running 👍 pic.twitter.com/yRmdKLYwFA
