Ongoing lane restrictions in Oshawa, Whitby, Scugog

The Regional Municipality of Durham has announced ongoing lane restrictions in the City of Oshawa, the Town of Whitby and the Township of Scugog.

Oshawa: There will be lane restrictions on Townline Road North (Regional Road 55) in the City of Oshawa.

  • When: Ongoing day and night until November 14. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.
  • Where: Townline Road North from Nash Road to Adelaide Avenue East, Oshawa.
  • Why: Construction of turning lanes and concrete medians to support new development.

Whitby: There are also lane restrictions on Stellar Drive (Regional Road 25) in the Town of Whitby.

  • When: Ongoing day and night until October 2. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.
  • Where: Stellar Drive, from 100 metres east of Champlain Avenue to 150 metres east of Champlain Avenue.
  • Why: Installation of a watermain to support new development.

Scugog: The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of ongoing lane restrictions on Nonquon River Bridge, which connects Reach Street (Regional Road 8) over the Nonquon River, in the Township of Scugog.

  • When: Ongoing until further notice.
  • Where: Nonquon River Bridge, which connects Reach Street (Regional Road 8) over the Nonquon River, 0.45 km west of Highway 12 in the Township of Scugog.
  • Why: To ensure the safety of bridge users.
