Jahquar Stewart, age 24, also known as rap artist Bvlly, has been killed in a shooting in North Oshawa early yesterday, according to Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS).
“Members of the Homicide Unit and Central West Division continue to hold the scene and canvass the area. The Forensic Identification Unit has also been at the scene collecting evidence,” said DRPS media release.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is continuing, it added.
On December 24 just before 3 am, police were called regarding multiple gunshots heard in the vicinity of Simcoe Street North and Britannia Avenue West in north Oshawa. Officers located a male suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
This is the 7th homicide of 2019 in Durham Region and the investigation is being led by the DRPS Homicide Unit.
