The Wild West is coming to Oshawa. The Tribute Communities Centre will be holding the first-ever Oshawa Stampede, it was announced yesterday.
The Tribute Communities Centre is a Durham Region sports and live entertainment facility. They are home to the Oshawa Generals of the Ontario Hockey League, the Oshawa FireWolves of the National Lacrosse League.
The event is only for one day. Professional cowboys and cowgirls from across the nation will ride for a shot at qualifying for the 2026 Northern Rodeo Cowboy’s Association (NRCA) Finals. The tickets go on sale Friday, November 21.
This is set to be a family friendly, action-packed rodeo featuring bulls, broncs, barrels, and more.

Will be boycotting and hope others do the same. Another form of animal cruelty and abuse. Look to Calgary Stampede as an example of inhumane abuse. Only good thing is there’s no chuck wagon races that often result in euthanasia of injured animals.
Its Not the First. Used to be lots of them back in the day !!
