Durham police investigators have concluded their investigation into an alleged incident of a teen being grabbed by a stranger in an Oshawa park. It was determined that the incident did not occur, police said.
The girl has entered into a youth diversion contract with the DRPS. If the contract is not completed satisfactorily, criminal charges may follow, it added.
A police statement reminded the public that making a false report to police is punishable by public mischief charges.
