PSD Vegas was handled by D/Cst. Bryan Armstrong and served the Durham Region for almost nine years. Vegas was responsible for apprehending more than 100 criminals and assisted with locating numerous people suffering from mental health issues.

One of PSD Vegas’ more memorable apprehensions came on his last night shift prior to retirement. Vegas was released to apprehend a fleeing car thief after he led officers on an extended vehicle pursuit. After crashing the stolen vehicle, the suspect attempted to flee from the vehicle. PSD Vegas quickly apprehended the suspect and took him to the ground. The suspect hit PSD Vegas in an attempt to escape. This was done to no avail and he was apprehended.
