Durham Police are investigating after an 18-year-old male was shot in Oshawa on Thursday evening.
On August 12 at about 7:50 pm, members from Central West Division were called to a shooting in the area of Britannia Avenue West and Simcoe Street North in Oshawa. The victim was located in a parking lot when officers arrived on scene. He was taken to a Toronto-area trauma hospital for treatment of his serious injuries.
There is no suspect description at this time. Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward with information.
Police do not believe this was a random incident.
