Police looking for six men in Whitby stabbing case

Investigators have released surveillance images of several Persons of Interest in an ongoing stabbing investigation in Whitby.

On Saturday, June 29, a 21-year-old male was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries after being stabbed in downtown Whitby. Investigation has revealed the victim had been at a downtown bar with friends and later got into a verbal argument with several other men out on the street (on Brock Street, south of Colborne Street). The verbal argument escalated into assault and a stabbing incident.

A review of nearby video surveillance cameras has identified six Persons of Interest (POI) in this investigation. They were in the area at the time of the disturbance. Some of the males involved may have left in a white Kia Soul. A photo collage is attached. Investigators are asking them to come forward and assist this ongoing investigation.

POI #1 is male, black, 20-25 years old, wearing a black jacket, blue shirt with a white
design on it, blue jeans.

POI #2 is a male, olive complexion, with black hair, wearing a green T-shirt and blue jeans.

POI #3 is a male, black, wearing a black “Oilers” hat, a white “Nike” T-shirt, black jeans, black and white running shoes.

POI #4 is a male, black, about 20-25 years old, wearing a black baseball hat on backwards, black “Roots” sweatshirt, white pants and black runners.

POI #5 is male, black, about 20-25 years old, wearing a black and white bucket style hat, white T-shirt, black pants and white shoes.

POI #6 is a male, black, about 20-25 years old, with dreadlocks and glasses, wearing a black jacket, black shirt, blue jeans and black shoes.
