Reopening: More trains from Oshawa in rush hours

More Lakeshore East trains during rush hours have been put into service since May 25, according to operator Metrolinx.

Ontario is gradually reopening leading to more commute traffic.

Lakeshore East and West trains are now six-cars long, with some 12-car trains during rush hours, it said.

Metrolinx also said it has begun to making improvements to the Oshawa GO station by installing digital signs on the bus platforms.

During construction, Metrolinx has temporarily relocated where you catch your bus. Users have been advised to look for signs to find the temporary bus stop.

What’s Next: Later this year,Metrolinx said it is going to install tactile yellow tiles and digital signs on the rail platform. “We’ll let you know about the details and how the work will affect you before construction starts,” said a statement.
