Robbers take off with phones from Bell store

Durham police investigators are asking the public to help identify two suspects who robbed a cellphone store in Ajax on Monday.

On March 16, at about 7:15 pm, two suspects entered the Bell store on Harwood Avenue in Ajax and stole numerous cellphones before fleeing in a vehicle. One of the suspects was observed to have a handgun on his possession. The store employees didn’t suffer any physical injuries. Two customers were in the store at the time, but they fled on foot.

Suspect #1 is described as male, black, 5’10” tall, 20 to 24 years old, thin build. He wore a ski mask, black hooded sweater and black jogging pants.

Suspect #2 is described as male, black, 6’1″ tall, 20 to 24 years old, heavy build. He wore a face mask, dark coloured hooded sweater and grey jogging pants. A firearm was observed on the suspect.
