An Ajax female has been charged with aggravated assault after stabbing another female during a fight outside of a Whitby bar.
On Saturday at 2:10 am, police were called to the Tap and Tankard bar on Brock Street South in Whitby regarding a disturbance. Two females were involved in a minor altercation inside the bar and it escalated into a physical altercation on a street outside of the bar. During the altercation, one female stabbed the other female.
The 22-year-old victim was assisted at scene by paramedics and rushed to a Toronto trauma centre with what were considered life-threatening injuries. She is currently recovering from her wounds. The accused was located nearby by responding officers and was arrested without incident.
Allure Boyce, age 19, of Andrea Road in Ajax has been charged with: Aggravated Assault; Assault With a Weapon; Carry Concealed Weapon and Weapons Dangerous. She was held for a bail hearing.
