Stay covid vigilant this Thanksgiving: Oshawa mayor

As we head indoors with Thanksgiving weekend and colder weather, Oshawa Mayor Dan Carter is reminding everyone that it is more important than ever to stay the course and all do our part to help stop the spread of the coronavirus.

In a video message to the community, Mayor Carter noted that Covid-19 cases continue to rise, and urged community members to continue to follow health authority guidelines and government orders by:

  • Wearing a face mask or covering inside public spaces,
  • Maintaining physical distancing of at least two metres (six feet) from others,
  • Limiting social gatherings as per government orders, and
  • Practicing regular hand hygiene

Community members concerned about their health related to Covid-19 are asked to use the Ontario COVID-19 self-assessment tool or book an appointment at the Durham Region COVID-19 Assessment Centre.
