Tools worth $30,000 stolen from Hydro One

Durham Police investigators are trying to identify suspects who broke into the Clarington Transformer Station last week.

On January 9 members of East Division responded to the Hydro One property on Townline Road North in Clarington after a break and enter was reported. The suspects drove to the locked compound and gained access to the property, said a police media release.

Once the suspects made their way into the property, they broke into four work trucks and metal containers stealing over $30,000 worth of construction tools including: Honda 2000 watt inverter generator; Milwaukee grinder and impact guns; Stihl chainsaws; Hoists and several rolls of copper, it added.

There is no suspect descriptors at this time.
