Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) yesterday went into a full emergency situation mode after it was reported that a female was seen outdoors in Oshawa pointing a gun at people passing by.

Officers from DRPS Central East Division have received a possible armed person call. Female waving something that appears to be a gun near Memorial Park, said a DRPS tweet.

“Numerous officers located the female sitting on the grass and she was pointing a toy gun at passing citizens. Female cautioned and she left the area,” said a DRPS tweet.
