Two arrested in a drugs raid in Bowmanville

A drug investigation in Bowmanville resulted in two arrests and the seizure of more than $13,000 in cash and drugs, according to Durham Police.

The East Division Community Response Unit concluded a three-day investigation and executed a warrant at an address on Maple Grove Road in Bowmanville. Two people were located inside and arrested without incident, said the police.

Officers seized a money counter, three digital scales, cell phones, $7,105 in cash and approximately $6,170 in assorted drugs, such as Fentanyl, crystal meth and cocaine.

Ashley Lupton, age 34, of Maple Grove Road in Clarington, has been charged with: Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking x7; Trafficking in Substance x2; and Possession of Proceeds of Crime Over $5,000. She was later released on an Undertaking.

Tynan Drape, age 39, of Maple Grove Road in Clarington has been charged with: Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking x7 and Possession of Proceeds of Crime Over $5,000. He was later released on an Undertaking.
