Two males in Toronto hospital after being shot

Durham police yesterday said two male victims were sent to a Toronto-area trauma hospital after being shot at a residence in Oshawa Sunday night.

On May 31, at about 10:15 pm, members of Central East Division responded to a residence on Erie Street in Oshawa for a double shooting. A 34-year-old male and a 51-year-old male were located with serious injuries after being shot. The victims were transported to a Toronto-trauma centre with serious injuries. They remain in hospital in stable condition at this time, said a police media release.

Police believe that this is an isolated incident and no arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing. Investigators are looking for any video or witnesses to come forward to help identify the suspect(s) involved.

Police also responded to a local Oshawa hospital after a 19-year-old Ajax male was dropped off with a serious stab wound at around 10:20 p.m. Police have little information on the incident and there is no information to suggest that these incidents are related at this time.

Anyone with new information is asked to contact D/Cst. Powell of the Central East Division Criminal Investigations Bureau at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 2739.
