Two Scugog residents are facing a combined 26 charges after investigators concluded a break-and-enter investigation in North Durham last week.
Between July 8 and 11, several businesses in the area were broken into, including pool supply stores, marine stores, restaurants and an animal hospital. Cash and merchandise were taken from several of the businesses.
The two suspects involved were identified by surveillance camera and located in York Region where they were arrested. A search warrant was issued for a Scugog residence where several of the stolen items were located.
Both suspects are responsible for seven commercial break and enters and the investigation is ongoing.
Shannon Brown, age 42 of Cochrane Court in Scugog and Justin Puckrin, age 45 of Bay Street in Scugog, face several Break-and-Enter and Theft related charges.
They were held for bail hearings.
