Members of the Durham Paramedics (CUPE) have called on employers and the government to protect paramedics from heat exhaustion.
Heat exhaustion is a real concern for paramedics and all employers/the government should implement policies protecting paramedics from the risks associated from it, said a tweet from Durham Paramedics.
Paramedics from CUPE 5734 in Cornwall demonstrated just how hot it gets under all the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), which paramedics are required to wear on every call to protect themselves against Covid-19.
